I liked the flavor from the onions. I thought it was unusual but tasty. I served the macaroni with cocktail wienies with barbecue sauce. The original recipe called for 1 1/2 cups of cheese but i thought that wasn't enough for 8 ounces of pasta. I used two different kinds of cheddar for this recipe. i really enjoyed this mac n cheese.

different but tasty! I must agree it was a great idea that you added more cheese to your meal! usually when people make it, it is dry but yours was juicy and yummy! the onions added a great texture. I think I will add onions to all my mac and cheese...usually we add spam or sausage but yours was still flavorful
